Analytical Study of the Excessive Exaggeration in the Sermons and Discourses of Seerah-Al-Tayyibah
Abstract
Seerah-Al-Tayyibah being second source of Islamic Law has been preserved and codified by the companions of the Prophet SAW and by other successors. Among other dimensions of the Sunnah of the Prophets SAW sermons and discourses were of the prime importance, but unfortunately with the passage of time due to the excessive exaggeration in delivering the sermons, fabricated narrations and traditions penetrated in the name of Seerah-al-Tayibah. This not caused chaos and tension but also created doubts about the primary sources of Islamic law as well. This paper aims to analyze the authenticity of the Sermons of the Prophet SAW in the light of endeavors, being established by the Rijāl of Hadith. This paper also aims to find out the reasons of falsification and fabrication being introduce into the sermons of the Prophets SAW. It is found that fabrication took place not only due to the storytellers, seekers of cheap reputation, and unjust behavior to punish the foe but also took place due to agnosticism, orientalism and offender ship as well.
