Abstract

What is the identity of human and how his identity is interconnected with the universe? Was he an imperceptibles crown of creation or merely a product of a random happening of evolution? Is there any creator of this universe or its operations is controlled by some blind and deaf forces? Such questions have been important throughout the known history of humanity. A vast group of humans have been congregated on the view that this universe is an artful work of godlily creation whereas the atheists have been existing on the parallel in the human history. Both of the believers and nonbelievers had been putting forward their arguments on the existence and non-existence of God. These arguments can be framed in different references. Among these the existence of God is deduced on the basis of moral arguments, while the arguments from the atheists are erected upon the scientific and philosophical reasoning, such as Darwin's theory of evolution. Richard Dawkins is one of the contemporary scholars renowned as proponent of atheism. He has tried to reject the arguments on the existence of God in his book The God Delusion and also put forward the rebuttal of moral argument based on Darwin's theory of evolution. He has also argued through biological interpretation of „selfish genes‟ and „altruism‟. In this article Dawkins' denial to God's existence based on biological interpretation of moral argumentation has been discussed. On the parallel the Islamic point of view has been stated and loopholes in the Dawkins‟ point of view have been highlighted.
