A scholarly review of the impact of modernist styles on exegetical literature (in the context of the Indian subcontinent).

Abstract

Renovation means taking a new form of something. By deviating from the established Islamic traditions of the past and the agreed principles of the people of knowledge and art and without taking them into consideration, the rules and laws of the religion will be interpreted and interpreted in a new way, then it will not be renewed, but it will be called "modernization". Commenting on the Qur'an in a manner contrary to the principles and rules of the ancient commentators, which affects the true spirit of Islam. The main objective of the research study under review is to examine the stylistic effects of the modernists in the field of tafseer. There is a long list of advocates and pioneers of this movement in the Indian sub-continent, but the source and authority of all of them are three persons: Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, Ghulam Ahmad Parvez and Hameeduddin Farahi.
