Analytical Study of the Topics of Qur'anic Sciences in the Tafsīr Tarjumān-al-Qur'an

Abstract

In order to guide mankind, Allah Almighty sent prophets, some of them were given bookw while some were given scriptures for the reformation of their nations. The chain of the prophets started from Hazrat Adam and ended with Hazrat Muhammad (SAW). All the Prophets performed their duties in a perfect way. Each and every Prophet was supposed to guide their nation themselves while it is the uniqueness of the Muslim Umma; the followers of the las prophet Muhammad (SAW) that after his demise, the scholars of this Umma has been given the duty of preaching and spreading Islam to each and every human and area of the world.These scholars and Ulema performed their duty very well and it will continue till the last day of this world. These scholars guided their people according to the needs of their time and place. One of these scholars, Qazi Ghafranuddin of the 20^th century is also named. He was born in 1917 in Swat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. He received his religious education from the well known scholars of his time. He travelled to Fatehpur in the neighboring country of India in this regard. His famous teachers are Mufti Kifayatullah and Mufti Ashfaqur Rahman Kandhalvi in 1945 in the said madrassa. Later on he spent his whole life for serving Quran and Sunnah. He died on January 30, 2022 AD. Qazi Ghufranuddin  was appointed as a judge by the ruler of Swat. In this regard Qazi sb made many critical decision in the area of Swat in the light of Quran and Sunnah and because of this status he was awarded the title of “Qazi” and later on it became a part of his name. He wrote some books like the explanation of an Arabic book taught in madaris i.e, husami, criminal laws, interpretations of seven Maqamaat, comments on Diwan of Hafiz al-Puri and code of inheritance, etc.Among his books “Tarjaman al-Tafaseer” is an important writing which is the explanation of the Holy Quran. The style of the writer is unique and scientific. He has a diversity in writing that is why this Tafseer is unique. The writer has a brief but comprehensive style. The writer has explained many points in a unique way, like; Makki and Madni surahs, the virtues of the Qur'an, the names of the surahs, the importance of the revelations, etc, are included in the above article.Key Words: Quran, prophets, religion, Tafseer , Qazi.
