Artificial Intelligence in Higher Education and Scientific Research: Opportunities and Challenges

Abstract

 Scientific research is a structured process designed to address specific problems or answer specific questions through scientific methods that contribute to the advancement of knowledge. However, as the scope and volume of research continue to grow, researchers often encounter challenges in effectively and creatively executing their academic work, including theses. With the rapid advancements in technology, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence, new opportunities have emerged to enhance and support scientific research. It has emerged as a groundbreaking tool that significantly advances scientific research in an entirely new way.The integration of artificial intelligence into higher education and scientific research highlights the immense potential of this technology and its expanding role as a catalyst for growth and development. AI contributes significantly to advancing research skills and enhancing professional competencies. However, it also brings negative implications, making it a double-edged sword. Therefore, it is essential to prioritize and maximize the positive aspects of artificial intelligence to ensure its benefits outweigh its drawbacks.  The aim of this study to explore the role of artificial intelligence in advancing scientific research and enhancing the development of higher education institutions. We will examine the various applications of artificial intelligence, its potential uses in the field of scientific research, and address the challenges and future prospects associated with integrating artificial intelligence into scientific research.
