The Arab republic of Egypt and its role in spreading the Arabic language in Afghanistan
Abstract
The research presents the role of the Arab Republic of Egypt in spreading the Arabic language in Afghanistan in recent times. The research sheds light on the history of the inception of the Arabic language and becoming an official language, then points slightly on its fading up, afterwards the establishment of the Dār Al ʽUloom Arabic and the department of Sharīʽa in Kabul And its connection with Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. The efforts of Professor Shah Muhammad Rashād, the first dean of the faculty of Sharīʽa, and Sheikh Shaheed Maulana Abdul Haq, Dean of the faculty of Sharīʽa, are also reviewed in establishing a cultural link between the faculty of Sharīʽa, Kabul and the Al-Azhar Jammia that raised the cadres of the faculty of Sharīʽa and other important personalities with a role in the field of politics, the judiciary, justice, education and media in Afghanistan. The dispatch of students and graduates from Dār ul Uloom al Arabic and faculty of Sharīʽa, Kabul to Al Azhar Al Shareef is also evaluated in spreading the Arabic language. A discussion has also been briefed on the role of the graduates from Al Azhar, and the two special representatives of Al Azhar (Professor Abdul ᾽Al Otwah and Sheikh Abdul Azim Fayyaaz) in Kabul. Moreover, the research also articulates with the Al-Azhar envoys’ efforts in Afghanistan, especially Sheikh Abdul ᾽Al-Otwah, in spreading the Arabic language and establishing the Kabul Al-Azhari Institute in Afghanistan. And lastly, the talented Afghan graduates from Al-Azhar and their precious books have been reviewed as part of the research.
